Illegal gaming house robbery arrests,
Finch Avenue West and Weston Road area

Toronto Police Service Hold Up would like to make the public aware of arrests and charges laid for a robbery at an illegal gaming house.

It is alleged that:

- on Friday, February 9, 2018, an illegal gaming house was operating in the Finch Avenue West and Weston Road area.

- at 10 p.m., one man, posing as a customer, entered the premises and interacted with the customers

- shortly afterwards, two men entered and one of the men was armed with a handgun

- customers and employees were ordered to the ground and their wrists were duct-taped behind their backs

- the three men fled with a quantity of money

- the customers eventually broke free from their bindings, fleeing the premises, and a 28-year-old woman contacted police

On Thursday, June 28, 2018, Raymond Ellis, 28, of Brampton, was arrested. He has been charged with:

1) three counts of Robbery with a Firearm
2) three counts of Forcible Confinement

He appeared in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on June 28, 2018, 2 p.m., room 306.

On Wednesday, February 21, 2018, Jevanny Walters, 25, of Scarborough, was arrested. He has been charged with:

1) three counts of Robbery with a Firearm
2) three counts of Forcible Confinement

He is scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, 10 am., room 304.

On Wednesday, February 21, 2018, Colin Walters, 27, of Mississauga, was arrested. He has been charged with:

1) Robbery with a Firearm
2) Forcible Confinement

He is scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, 10 a.m., room 304
