Man, 45, charged in Mischief - Endanger Life investigation,
Queen Street East and Jarvis Street area

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest in a Mischief - Endanger Life investigation.

On Friday, July 13, 2018, at approximately 12:34 a.m., officers responded to a call for a personal injury collision in the Queen Street East and Jarvis Street area.

It is alleged that:

- a man found a pile of wire near the roadside

- the wire was attached to a pole

- he stretched the wire across the roadway

- as a motorcyclist passed, he tightened the wire

- the motorcyclist was "clotheslined" off his bike

Phillip Gaudet, 45, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) Assault with a Weapon
2) Mischief - Endanger Life
3) Fail to Comply with Recognizance

He is scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, 10 a.m., room 501.
