The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest in a Sexual Assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at 3 a.m., a man was at a residence in the Hilda Avenue and Steeles Avenue West area

- the man entered a room armed with a knife, sexually assaulted a woman and stabbed a boy who received non-life-threatening injuries.

On Sunday, September 2, 2018, Ronald Peter Tibando, 54, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1) Break-and-Enter with Intent
2) Sexual Assault with a weapon
3) Sexual Assault
4) Assault with a weapon
5) Forcible Confinement
6) Assault bodily harm
7) Utter threats

He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Sunday, September 2, 2018, 10 a.m., room 101.
