On Thursday, August 30, 2018, at approximately 2:50 p.m., police were called for a Sound of Gunshots at Yorkdale Shopping Centre, 3401 Dufferin Street.

It is alleged that:

- two groups of males had an altercation

- two shots were fired

On Monday, September 3, 2018, members of the Toronto Police Service located Zion Sankar-Beharry, 20, outside of Trenton, Ontario, where he was arrested without incident.

He is charged with:

1) two counts of Attempt Murder
2) two counts of Point Firearm
3) Use/Handle/Store Firearm Carelessly
4) two counts of Reckless Discharge Firearm
5) Possess Loaded Regulated Firearm
6) Occupy Motor Vehicle with Firearm
7) Possess Weapon for Committing an Offence
8) Carry Concealed Weapon

He was scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, 10 a.m., room 306.
