Personal injury collision #41/2018,
Steeles Avenue West at Keele Street

On Monday, September 17, 2018, at 10:02 a.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Steeles Avenue West at Keele Street.

It is reported that:

- a man, 55, was driving a 2009 International semi-trailer westbound on Steeles Avenue West, attempting to turn right to northbound Keele Street

- a woman, 19, was riding a bicycle westbound on Steeles Avenue West, approaching Keele Street

- the woman was struck by the vehicle

The 19-year-old woman received life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.

Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash-camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
