On Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at 8:54 p.m., police responded to a call for a Fail to Remain Collision that occurred on Sheppard Avenue East just east of Allanford Road.

It is reported that:

- a 79-year-old man was crossing Sheppard Avenue East near Allanford Road and was struck by a vehicle

He was rushed to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Traffic Services investigators are continuing efforts to identify the vehicle and driver which fled the scene of the collision. Investigators believe that the suspect vehicle may be a Kia Sedona (2006-2014) or a Hyundai Entourage (2006-2010).

Police are appealing to local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash-camera footage of the area or incident, to please contact investigators.
