Man and woman arrested in controlled Drugs and Substances Act/Fireams investigation,
Weston Road and Highway 7,
Firearms and drugs seized

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of nine arrests in a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act/Firearms investigation.

Officers from the Guns and Gangs Task Force started an investigation into an alleged armed drug-dealing operation in Toronto.

It is alleged that:

- a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act warrant was sought and granted for an address in the Weston Road and Highway 7 area, in Vaughan

- on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, prior to the execution of the warrant, a man and a woman were located in a vehicle outside of the address, and arrested without incident

Subsequent to the arrest, the vehicle was searched, officers located and seized:

- a 9mm Glock 17 handgun
- a 380 Kel Tech handgun
- a quantity of ammunition, drugs and cash

During a search of the residence, officers located and seized:

- a quantity of drugs and ammunition

Bershon Roach Ferguson, 25, of Innisfil, has been charged with:

1. Two counts of Possession of a Firearm
2. Two counts of Possession of a Firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
3. Two counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
4. Two counts of careless storage of a Firearm
5. Five counts of Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition order
6. Two counts of Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the purpose of Trafficking
7. Possession of Proceeds of Crime under 500
8. Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance
9. Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the purpose of Trafficking

He was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at Old City Hall, 10 a.m., in room 101.


Nathalie Uyen Phuong Tran, 30, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1. Two counts of Possession of a Firearm
2. Two counts of Possession of a Firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
3. Two counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
4. Two counts of Unauthorized possession of a Firearm in a motor vehicle
5. Four counts of careless storage of a Firearm
5. Four counts of Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
6. Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance
7. Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
8. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

She was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at Old City Hall, 10 a.m., in room 101.
