The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance identifying a man wanted in an ongoing Aggravated Assault investigation.
It is reported that:
- on Friday, October 19, 2018, at approximately 2:46 a.m., an altercation occurred between two men, who were riding on a Viva transit bus in the Yonge Street and Cummer Avenue area
- the altercation became violent and the suspect produced a sharp-edged weapon and stabbed the victim
- the suspect fled from the bus and the victim was transported to hospital for medical treatment
The suspect is described as approximately 30-years-old, 5’8”, 120-140 lbs., with short dark hair and a dark long bushy beard. He was last seen wearing a dark-coloured baseball hat, a yellow puffy jacket with a hood, a white shirt, black pants and black and white running shoes. He was also carrying a black-coloured satchel.
Security camera images of the suspect have been released.
