41 Division

41 Division's next "Coffee with a Cop" event will take place on Friday, October 26, 2018, 10 a.m. to noon, at Tim Hortons, 678 Kennedy Road.

The program started almost three years ago. Since then, the events have been held regularly throughout the Division.

The majority of contacts police have with the public happen during emergencies or emotional situations. Those situations are not always the most effective times for relationship-building with the community and some community members may feel that officers are unapproachable on the street. "Coffee with a Cop" breaks down barriers and allows for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction.

Officers from 41 Division will sit down with community members in an informal, neutral space to discuss community issues, build relationships and drink coffee.

"Coffee with a Cop" provides a unique opportunity for community members to ask questions and learn more about the Service's work in their community.
