Man arrested in two assault investigations,

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest made in two assault investigations.

On Thursday, September 26, 2018, officers responded to a call for an assault in the Yonge Street and Turnberry Court area.

It is alleged that:

- a 29-year-old man was on an elevator

- another man joined him

- there was an altercation

- the 29-year-old man was assaulted

On Friday, October 19, 2018, at 2:46 a.m., officers responded to a call for a stabbing in the Yonge Street and Cummer Avenue area.

It is alleged that:

- a man was on a bus antagonizing the driver

- a 56-year-old man intervened

- they became embroiled in an argument

- the 56-year-old man was stabbed

On Friday, October 26, 2018, Daniel Bowyer, 29, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1. Assault
2. Carry Concealed Weapon
3. Assault with a Weapon
4. Aggravated Assault

He appeared in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Friday, October 26, 2018, at 10 a.m., in room 306.
