Investigation in to Theft of Package from Porches,
Karel Vorlicek, 32, Arrested

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest made in an investigation into a series of thefts which have occurred in the Dovercourt Road and Bloor Street West area.
It is alleged:
- Between Friday, December 7, 2018, and Wednesday, December 12, 2018, several packages, which had been left by delivery companies, were stolen from the porches of residential homes
- Officers from 14 Division, with the assistance of the public, were able to identify the suspect
On Saturday, December 22, 2018, Karel Vorlicek, 32, of Toronto, was arrested, he has been charged with:
1) Two counts of Theft from Mail
He has been scheduled to appear in court on Sunday, December 23rd, 2018, at Old City Hall, courtroom 101, at 9:00 a.m.
The Toronto Police Service would like to remind the public to be extra vigilant if they are expecting to receive a package. Efforts should be made to arrange to have the package delivered while the home owner is present, or for the package to be left with a neighbour.
