Man arrested for Impaired Driving,
Police Scout Car Struck

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest made in an Impaired Driving investigation.
On Sunday, December 23, 2018, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers were stopped in the drive-thru line of a fast food restaurant in the Highway 27 and Carrier Drive area.
It is alleged that:
- officers were in a marked police vehicle
- the officers were struck from behind while stationary
- they investigated the driver that struck them
- he was arrested for impaired driving
- his breath samples were almost four times the legal limit
Jaswal Davinder, 27, of Toronto, is charged with:
1. Impaired Driving
2. Drive while Over 80 mgs
He will appear in court at Toronto West Courts on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at 2 p.m., in room 202.
One of the officers received a minor injury in this collision.
