Police request assistance with Shooting investigation,
Walpole Avenue and Greenwood Avenue,
Security camera image of suspect vehicle released

The Toronto Police is seeking the public's assistance with a Shooting investigation.

On Friday, January 4, 2019, at approximately 2:22 a.m., officer’s responded to a call for a Shooting in the Walpole Avenue and Greenwood Avenue area.

It is reported that:

- Two vehicles were parked in the area, each with a number of occupants seated inside

- an unknown male suspect approached on foot, and began shooting at the two vehicles

- occupants in the two vehicles began shooting back at the male on foot

- As the male on foot fled, he was followed by the two vehicles, and the exchange of gunfire continued as he ran onto Walpole Avenue

- one of the occupants in the vehicle was shot, he made his way to hospital where he received treatment for his injuries

- the male suspect on foot appeared to be uninjured

One of the vehicles involved is believed to be a Red Nissan Altima, a security camera image of the suspect vehicle is attached.
