"U-Haul Bandits" Arrested,
Man, 27, and woman, 25, face charges

The Toronto Police Service Hold Up Squad would like to make the public aware of arrests made for a series of retail robberies that occurred in December 2018. The accused, dubbed as the "U-Haul Bandits", are charged in five robbery investigations.

It is alleged that:

- on Friday, December 7, 2018, at 1:34 p.m., a woman was in a store in the Danforth Avenue and Woodbine Avenue area

- she walked out of the store with a basket of stolen items

- she produced a knife when confronted by the store manager

- she was with a man and they fled in a stolen U-Haul truck


It is further alleged that:

- on Friday, December 7, 2018, at 11:08 p.m., the same woman entered a store in the Danforth Avenue and Coxwell Avenue area

- she ran towards the exit with stolen merchandise in her hand

- the store supervisor made an attempt to stop her, however she produced a knife in a threatening manner

- she was with the same man, who was waiting outside the store

- they fled in a stolen U-Haul truck


It is further alleged that:

-on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at 7:40 p.m., the same woman entered a store in the Morningside Avenue and Milner Avenue area

- she placed several bottles of alcohol in a basket and headed for the exit without paying

- she was approached by an employee, she brandished a knife, and fled


It is further alleged that:

- on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at 9:15 p.m., the same woman entered a store in the Lansdowne Avenue and Dupont Street area

- she posed as a customer and approached a store employee to access merchandise in a locked display case

- she held on to the merchandise and walked out of the store

- the employee chased her, she brandished a knife, and fled


It is further alleged that:

- on Sunday, December 30, 2018, at 11:55 a.m., the same woman attended a store in the Ellesmere Road and Neilson Road area

- she filled a basket with merchandise, while the same man waited near the exit

- when a store employee stopped the woman from leaving the store, the man confronted the employee with a knife in his hand

- they fled in a stolen U-Haul truck


On Monday, December 31, 2018, a man and a woman were arrested.

Jenna Feero, 25, of No Fixed Address, was charged with:

1. Five counts of Robbery with an Offensive Weapon
2. Four counts of Carry Concealed Weapon
3. Four counts of Possession of a Weapon
4. Fourteen counts of Fail to Comply Probation
5. Theft Over $5000
6. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime - Under $5000

She is scheduled to appear in court, at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, on Monday, January 21, 2019, at 9 a.m., in room 407.


Anthony Crehore, 27, of No Fixed Address, was charged with:

1. Five counts of Robbery with an Offensive Weapon
2. Two counts of Carry Concealed Weapon
3. Two counts of Possession of a Weapon
4. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime - Over $5000
5. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime - Under $5000
6. Twelve counts of Fail to Comply Probation
7. Theft Over Vehicle

He is scheduled to appear in court, at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at 9 a.m., in room 407.


The investigation is on-going and further charges are anticipated.
