Shooting Investigation,
Kingston Road and Woodbine Avenue

The Toronto Police is requesting the public's assistance with a shooting investigation.

On Sunday, January 6, 2019, at approximately 2:30 p.m., officers responded to a call for a Shooting at the intersection of Woodbine Avenue and Kingston Road.

It is reported that:

- an Audi was stopped at a red light, westbound on Kingston Road at Woodbine Avenue, when it was approached from behind by a black Mercedes.

- the Mercedes came to a stop behind the Audi

- a male suspect exited the Mercedes and approached the passenger side of the Audi

- he had a firearm in his hand and began to shoot inside the Audi, striking two victims

- he ran southbound into the residential area, east of Woodbine Avenue, south of Kingston Road

- the driver of the Audi drove southbound on Woodbine Avenue, to westbound Queen Street East, coming to a stop in front of a business on Queen Street, west of Woodbine Avenue

- the driver, who remained in the Mercedes, sped off northbound on Woodbine Avenue, and became involved in a collision on Queen Street East east of Woodbine Avenue

- at this point 4 males ran from the Mercedes

- the two shooting victims in the Audi were later taken to hospital by Toronto Paramedics, where they received treatment for their injuries

Responding officers located two of the males who fled from the Mercedes. A total of three firearms were seized.

Rodrigues Sendia, 20, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1. Attempted Murder
2. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
3. Failing to Comply with Probation

Ajmain Rahman, 21, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1. Attempted Murder
2. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

Both were scheduled to appear in court on Monday, January 7, 2019, at College Park courts, at 9:30 a.m.
