Hold Up investigation,
Man charged in three bank robberies

The Toronto Police Service Hold Up Squad would like to make the public aware of an arrest made for three bank robberies that occurred in January 2019.

It is alleged that:

- on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at 2:32 p.m., a man entered a bank in the Bloor Street West and Jane Street area

- he approached the Customer Service Representative and produced a note indicating a gun and demanding cash

- money was obtained and he fled


It is further alleged that:

- on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at 10:35 a.m., the same man entered a bank in the Dundas Street West and Dufferin Street area

- he approached the Customer Service Representative and produced a note indicating a gun and demanding cash

- money was obtained and he fled


It is further alleged that:

- on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at 3:31 p.m., the same man entered a bank in the Dufferin Street and St. Clair Avenue West area

- he approached the Customer Service Representative and produced a note indicating a gun and demanding cash

- money was obtained and he fled


On Sunday, January 6, 2019, Jeffery MacIntyre, 25, of No Fixed Address, was located and arrested.

It is further alleged that:

- at the time of his arrest, he was in possession of a starter's pistol and a switchblade knife


He was charged with:

1. Three counts of Robbery with a Firearm
2. Three counts of Disguise with Intent
3. Possession Prohibited Weapon
4. Possession Imitation Firearm
5. Fail to Comply Recognizance
6. Two counts of Fail to Comply Probation
7. Possession Property Obtained by Crime

He appeared in court at Old City Hall on Monday, January 7, 2018.
