Three men charged

On Friday, January 25, 2019, a news conference was held at Toronto Police Headquarters, about Project Sparta, an intense investigation into the distribution of cocaine within the city of Toronto.

It is alleged that:

- a large sophisticated network included storage and distribution of large volumes of powder cocaine and other illicit substances

On Wednesday, January 9, 2019, investigators arrested and charged three men.

Hung Nguyen, 34, of Toronto, is charged with:

1. Possession for the Purpose-Cocaine
2. Proceeds of Crime

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Wednesday, February 20, 2019.

Adrian Narayan, 20, of Toronto, is charged with:

1. Two counts of Possession for the Purpose - Cocaine
2. Proceeds of Crime
3. Possession for the Purpose - Meth
4. Possession for the Purpose - MDMA

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Friday, January 25, 2019, at 11 am.

Nicholas Droege, 20, of Toronto, is charged with:

1. Possession for the Purpose - Cocaine
2. Proceeds of Crime

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Wednesday, February 20, 2019.


Six search warrants were executed, including three motor vehicles and three homes in the:
- Bathurst Street and Follis Avenue area
- Adelaide Street West and Simcoe Street area
- Bay Street and Grosvenor Street area

It is further alleged that the following was seized:

- 68 kilograms of Cocaine
- 5 kilograms MDMA
- 7 kilograms of Ketamine
- 1 kilogram of Methamphetamine
- $343,759 in Canadian currency
- 120 pounds of shrink-wrapped marihuana, found inside a vehicle
