The Toronto Police Service requests the public's assistance identifying a man wanted in a shooting investigation.

On Thursday, January 24, 2019, at 8:16 p.m., officers responded to a call for the sound of gunshots in the Windermere Avenue and Southport Street area.

It is reported that:

- a red car was in a parking lot with two occupants inside

- a silver mini-van drove into the parking lot and parked near the red car

- four men got out of the mini-van and approached the red car

- one of the suspects had a firearm in his hand

- the red car fled while the suspect fired numerous times at it

The man with the firearm is described as being in his early 20’s, wearing dark clothing.
