Personal Injury Collision #10/2019,
Bloor Street West and Windermere Avenue

On Monday, February 4, 2019, at 8:54 a.m., police responded to a call for a Personal Injury Collision in the area of Bloor Street West and Windermere Avenue.

It is reported that:

- a 37-year-old man was driving a Freightliner Truck, eastbound on Bloor Street West near Windermere Road

- a 64-year-old man was walking eastbound on the north side of Bloor Street West, crossing Windermere Road from the west to the east side of the intersection

- the driver of the Freightliner made a left-hand turn to go north onto Windermere Road

- the truck struck the pedestrian

- the pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital

Police are asking local residents, business, and drivers, who may have security or dash-camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
