Man wanted

The Toronto Police Service is looking for the public's assistance identifying a man wanted in two separate Robbery investigations.

On Friday, February 1, 2019, at approximately 7:21 p.m., police responded to a call for a Robbery in the area of Victoria Park Avenue and Van Horne Avenue.

It is reported that:

- a woman entered a bank vestibule to use the ATM

- at this time, she was approached from behind by a man who held a knife to her neck and made a demand for money

- the woman complied and handed cash to the man, who then exited the vestibule and ran to a waiting vehicle, before fleeing the area


On Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at 6 p.m., police responded to a call for a Robbery at the same location.

It is further reported that:

- a man approached a woman from behind, held a knife to her neck, and made a demand for cash

- once the victim complied, he ran to a waiting vehicle, and fled in an unknown direction


The man in both incidents is described as 5’6” – 5’8”, his face covered with a mask, wearing a dark jacket and armed with a knife.
