On Thursday, March 16, 2017, at 7:55 a.m., police responded to a medical complaint in the parking lot of Alvin Curling Public School, located at 50 Upper Rouge Trail.

Officers arrived and found a man with apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced at the scene and later identified as Dylan Greenaway, 21, of Toronto.

After a two-year investigation, with the assistance of the Gun & Gang Task Force, police arrested two men on Monday, February 11, 2019.

Hafis Mohideen-Hassan, 20, of Toronto, was charged with:

1. First Degree Murder

Mohammad Patel, 20, of Toronto, was charged with:

1. First Degree Murder
2. Possession of a Restricted Firearm

It is alleged that a loaded, semi-automatic pistol was located during his arrest.

Both men appeared in court, at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, on Tuesday, February 12, 2019.
