Annual OACP Crime Prevention Campaign Kick-off

On Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at 10 a.m., in the lobby of Toronto Police Headquarters, the Honourable Sylvia Jones, Ontario’s Minister of Community Safety & Correctional Services, will join police leaders and front-line officers to kick off the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police’s (OACP) annual crime prevention campaign. This proactive, province-wide campaign assists police services all across Ontario to promote proactive crime prevention strategies on a wide variety of issues.
The OACP will also be unveiling its new resource document, Bringing Organized Crime Out of the Shadows, which provides the real facts about the threat that organized crime poses to community safety in Ontario.
Minister Jones will be joined by Barrie Police Service’s Chief Kimberley Greenwood, OACP President, and Toronto Police Service’s A/Superintendent David Rydzik, OACP Community Safety & Crime Prevention Committee.
