On Monday, March 25, 2019, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., “Coffee with a Cop” event will take place at McDonald’s at 470 Yonge Street.
Officers will attend and sit down with community members in an informal, neutral space to discuss community issues, build relationships and drink coffee.
This event is relaxed, informal and open for discussions about the issues community residents feel are important. Attendees of this event will enjoy a free small hot brewed coffee.
"Coffee with a Cop" breaks down barriers and allows for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction. The program aims to advance the practice of community policing through improving relationships between police officers and community members one cup of coffee at a time.
