The three Toronto Police Lacrosse teams are field and box lacrosse teams made up of Toronto Police officers and other police officers and firefighters from the Greater Toronto Area, supported by the Toronto Police Amateur Athletic Association (TPAAA). They often compete with fellow first responders in fundraising tournaments.
The teams also seek ways to connect with young people through friendly matches or through lacrosse instruction clinics. The latest project is developing a “Lacrosse 101 Program” at schools in 43 Division. Starting in March 2019, the Toronto Police Lacrosse teams will be implementing a lacrosse history and skills program at Eastview Public School and Cedar Drive Junior Public School in Scarborough, managed by Toronto Police officers and school staff.
