On Thursday, May 9, 2019, at 10 a.m., at Toronto Police Headquarters, in the Media Gallery, Superintendent Steve Watts and Inspector Don Belanger, of Organized Crime Enforcement – Drug Squad, will brief the media on Project Dos, an illegal drug distribution investigation.
The news conference will be available on the TOC and live-streamed.
The investigation led to a series of arrests and search warrants on Thursday, April 25, 2019, in Toronto, Vaughan, Kitchener, and Stoney Creek.
Numerous individuals were arrested and charged.
Large quantities of powder cocaine, illegally grown cannabis, cash, and chemicals used in the production and distribution of controlled substances were located by police.
The amount of controlled substances and drug precursors seized in this investigation had the potential to generate tens of millions of dollars in profits.
Seized items will be on display in the media gallery during the news conference.
