Assault with a weapon investigation,
Raptors Way and York Street,
Paolo Diluciano, 30, arrested

The Toronto Police would like to advise the public of an arrest made in an Assault with a Weapon investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Thursday, July 4, 2019, 4:45 p.m., a man was driving his vehicle southbound on Raptors Way approaching York Street

- as he was about to make a right turn on to York Street, a cyclist rode his bicycle in front of the man's vehicle, causing him to have to stop suddenly to avoid colliding with the cyclist

- the cyclist then kicked the man's vehicle causing some damage

- the man exited the vehicle, and was then struck with a bicycle lock and assaulted by the cyclist who then fled the area

- with the assistance of the public , the cyclist was identified

On Sunday, July 7, 2019, during the evening hours, Paolo Diluciano, 30, surrendered to Police at 52 Division.

He has been charged with:

1) Assault with a Weapon
2) Assault Cause Bodily Harm
3) Mischief under

He is Scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Monday, July 8, 2019, at 10:00 a.m.
