Toronto Drug Squad Project Oz,
Multiple Arrests and Search Warrants

On Thursday June 27, 2019 members of the Toronto Police Service Drug Squad and the Windsor Police Service executed a number of search warrants resulting in the arrests of three men and two women. Three men remain at large and are wanted by police.

It is alleged that:

- the arrested individuals formed part of a sophisticated network involved in the distribution of large volumes of powder cocaine, fentanyl and crystal methamphetamine in Toronto and Windsor.

Christopher Janisse, 30, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1. Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking Cocaine
2. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Fentanyl
3. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Crystal Methamphetamine
4. two counts of Traffic Cocaine
5. Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5,000

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Friday, July 19, 2019, in courtroom 114


Brian Medeiros, 33, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1. Unauthorized possession of a firearm
2. Possession of a Prohibited firearm with ammunition
3. Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
4. Careless storage of a firearm
5. Careless storage of ammunition
6. Possession of firearm obtained by the commission of an offence
7. two counts of Possession of Firearm while Prohibited
8. two counts of Possession of Ammo while Prohibited
9. Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
10. Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5,000
11. Fail to Comply
12. four counts of Possession of a Firearm Contrary to a Prohibition Order

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, in courtroom 114


Mokoumba Mulumba, 31, of Toronto was arrested. He is charged with:

1. Unauthorized possession of a firearm
2. Possession of a Prohibited firearm with ammunition
3. Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
4. Careless storage of a firearm
5. Careless storage of ammunition
6. Possession of firearm obtained by the commission of an offence
7. Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
8. Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5,000

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, in courtroom 114


Steven Whalen, 34, of Toronto, has been arrested by the Toronto Police Service and charged for:

1. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine
2. Possession of Proceeds over $5,000

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, in courtroom 101


Minja Ljumovic, 36, of Windsor, was arrested by the Windsor Police Service, and charged with:

1. Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking Cocaine
2. Trafficking Cocaine

Scheduled to appear at Windsor Courthouse on Monday, July 22, 2019, in courtroom 6


Danielle Hess, 29, of Windsor, was arrested by the Windsor Police Service and charged with:

1. Unauthorized possession of a firearm
2. Possession of a Prohibited firearm with ammunition
3. Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
4. Careless storage of a firearm
5. Careless storage of ammunition
6. Possession of firearm obtained by the commission of an offence
7. two counts of Possession of Firearm while Prohibited
8. two counts of Possession of Ammo while Prohibited
9. Possession of Fentanyl FTP Trafficking
10. Unauthorized possession of a firearm
11. Possession of a Prohibited firearm with ammunition
12. Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
13. Careless storage of a firearm
14. Careless storage of ammunition
15. Possession of firearm obtained by the commission of an offence
16. three counts of Possession of a Prohibited Magazine (1999)
17. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine
18. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Morphine
19. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Fentanyl
20. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Crystal Meth
21. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Crack Cocaine

Scheduled to appear at Windsor Courthouse on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, in courtroom 6


Sebastiano Profetto, 30, of Windsor, is wanted by the Windsor Police Service for:

1. Unauthorized possession of a firearm
2. Possession of a Prohibited firearm with ammunition
3. Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
4. Careless storage of a firearm
5. Careless storage of ammunition
6. Possession of firearm obtained by the commission of an offence
7. two counts of Possession of Firearm while Prohibited
8. two counts of Possession of Ammo while Prohibited
9. Possession of Fentanyl FTP Trafficking
10. Unauthorized possession of a firearm
11. Possession of a Prohibited firearm with ammunition
12. Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
13. Careless storage of a firearm
14. Careless storage of ammunition
15. Possession of firearm obtained by the commission of an offence
16. three counts of Possession of a Prohibited Magazine (1999)
17. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine
18. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Morphine
19. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Fentanyl
20. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Crystal Meth
21. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Crack Cocaine



Jaidyn Downes, 33, of Cobourg, is wanted by Toronto Police Service for:

1. Traffic Cocaine
2. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine
3. Possession of Proceeds over $5,000
4. three counts of Possession of a Prohibited Firearm without Holding a licence
5. three counts of Possession of a Loaded Prohibited Firearm
6. three counts of Knowingly possess a Firearm while not licenced to do so
7. three counts of Careless Storage of a Firearm
8. three counts of Careless Storage of Ammunition
9. three counts of Possession of a Firearm obtained by Crime


Fourteen search warrants were executed, including on six vehicles. The residences searched were located in Toronto, Brampton, and Windsor.

Traps (hidden compartments) were located in three of the vehicles and in furniture in two of the residences.

It is further alleged that the following was seized:

- 24 kilograms of Cocaine
- 2.6 kilograms of Fentanyl
- 100 Fentanyl patches
- 1.4 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine
- 11 grams of crack cocaine
- 986 tablets of Hydro Morphone
- 265 tablets of Oxycodone
- 14 tablets of morphine
- 375 ml of morphine hydrochloride
- 757 tablets of codeine
- $553,652 in Canadian currency
- 9 mm Glock semi-automatic handgun –Seized in Windsor
- 40 Caliber Glock semi-automatic handgun - Seized in Windsor
- 9 mm Glock Semi-automatic handgun – Seized in Toronto
- .40 Caliber Springfield Arms Semi-automatic handgun – Seized in Toronto
- .40 KAHR Semi-automatic handgun – Seized in Toronto
- .38 Ruger Revolver – Seized in Toronto
- Three (3) Over capacity magazines
- 238 rounds of various firearm ammunition
