Personal Injury Collision 49/2019
King Street West near Bay Street

On Saturday, August 3, 2019, at approximately 3:00 p.m., police received a report of a collision near the intersection of King Street West and Bay Street.

It is reported that:

- a 27-year-old man was operating a vehicle eastbound on King Street West near the intersection of Bay Street

- the vehicle mounted the curb and continued to travel eastbound on the sidewalk

- the vehicle struck three pedestrians, on the sidewalk, before colliding with a concrete sign

- the driver and three pedestrians were taken to hospital, with one pedestrian suffering from life-threatening injuries

The investigation is ongoing by members of Traffic Services.

Police are asking local residents, business, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
