Two men and one woman arrested in firearms investigation

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of arrests made in a firearms investigation.

On Wednesday, July 24, 2019, officers commenced an investigation into the possession of narcotics and firearms by a man.

John Matthew Moore, 36, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1. three counts of Possession of Narcotics for the Purpose of Trafficking
2. three counts of Possession of Narcotics
3. two counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance
4. Possession of Ammunition While Prohibited
5. Possess Prohibited Weapon Knowing No Authority

He appeared in court at Old City Hall on Monday, August 5, 2019, at 10 a.m., in room 101.

On Tuesday, August 6, 2019, officers executed several Criminal Code search warrants throughout the GTA. The following items were alleged to have been seized:

- two Smith & Wesson 9 mm pistols
- 141 rounds of ammunition
- a quantity of various narcotics
- $4,590 in Canadian currency
- 95 grams of Fentanyl
- 481 grams of cocaine
- 28 grams of methamphetamine
- 12 grams of MDMA

Alden Nunes, 39, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1. two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
2. two counts of Possession of Narcotics
3. Possession of Proceeds of Crime
4. two counts of Possession of Firearm Knowing Possession Unauthorized
5. two counts of Possess Prohibited Device
6. Fail to Comply with Recognizance
7. two counts of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
8. Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order

Cheyenne Murdock, 23, of Toronto, was arrested. She is charged with:

1. two counts of Possession of Narcotics for the Purpose of Trafficking
2. two counts of Possession of Narcotics

They will both appear in court at Old City Hall on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at 10 a.m., in room 101.
