Personal Injury Collision #52/2019,
Markham Road at Nashdene Road

On Monday, August 19, 2019 at approximately 9:17 p.m., police responded to a call for a collision that occurred in the Markham Road and Nashdene Road area.
It is reported that:
- A 24-year-old male was driving a Kawasaki motorcycle south on Markham Road, approaching Nashdene Road and was carrying a 23-year-old female passenger directly behind him
- The driver of the motorcycle struck a vehicle travelling in front causing both occupants of the motorcycle to be ejected
- Both victims were taken to a local trauma hospital. The 24-year-old male suffered life-threatening injuries. The 23-year-old female suffered minor injuries
- The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured
The investigation is ongoing by members of Traffic Services.
Police are asking local residents, business, drivers, or anyone in the area who may have observed what happened or have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
