Two men arrested in Shooting investigation,
Jane Street and Finch Avenue West area

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of arrests made in a shooting investigation.

On Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at approximately 10:45 p.m., officers responded to a call for a shooting in the Jane Street and Finch Avenue West area.

It is alleged that:

- officers located a car with bullet holes

- a search of a parking garage found more signs of a firearm discharge

As a result of this investigation officers executed several criminal code search warrants on Sunday, August 25, 2019, at various addresses in the GTA.

Yancy William, 19, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1. Discharge Firearm With Intent To Endanger Life
2. Possess Loaded Regulated Firearm
3. Occupy Motor Vehicle With Firearm
4. Handle Firearm Carelessly
5. Possession of a Restricted/Prohibited Firearm Without A License
6. Carry Concealed Weapon
7. Possess Weapon Dangerous To Public Peace

Mohamid Singateh, 19, of Brampton, was arrested. He is charged with:

1. Discharge Firearm With Intent To Endanger Life
2. Possess Loaded Regulated Firearm
3. Occupy Motor Vehicle With Firearm
4. Handle Firearm Carelessly
5. Possession of a Restricted/Prohibited Firearm Without A License
6. Carry Concealed Weapon
7. Possess Weapon Dangerous To Public Peace
8. two counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance

They will appear at Toronto North courts on Monday, August 26, 2019, at 10 a.m., in room 301.
