Man charged in ongoing Sexual Assault investigation,

A man has been charged as part of an ongoing Sexual Assault investigation.
It is alleged that:
- a 15-year-old girl was a client of a psychotherapist at East Metro Youth Service on 200-1200 Markham Road between February 2017 and May 2019
- a man – who is believed to have worked there from January 2015 to May 2019 as well as providing private psychotherapy services at All of You Wellness Centre on 402-65 Wellesley Avenue - communicated with her in person and on social media platforms
- the girl was sexually assaulted on numerous occasions
On Wednesday, September 25, 2019, members of the Child & Youth Advocacy Centre arrested Michael Mazo, 31, of Brampton. He is charged with:
1. Sexual Assault
2. Sexual Interference
He is to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West, on Thursday, November 7, 2019, at 2 p.m., in room 301

The CYAC was opened in October 2013 and is comprised of specialized child abuse investigators from the Toronto Police Service, in collaboration with members of the Catholic Children’s Aid Society, the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto, the Hospital for Sick Children’s Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect Program (SCAN), Safe-T Program, Halton Trauma Centre and Boost Child Abuse Prevention and Intervention.
