Arrest made in Stabbing Investigation,
Yonge Street and Steeles Avenue West

The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public of an arrest in an attempt murder investigation.

On Monday, September 30, 2019, at approximately 2 p.m., police responded to a radio call for a man with a knife in the area of Pleasant Avenue just west of Yonge Street on the north side of Goulding Park.

- police and paramedics responded to the area

- a woman suffering from multiple knife wounds was located

- a man was located nearby by police after a brief search, with the assistance of several citizens

On Monday September 30, 2019, Sen Yang, 30, was arrested. He is charged with:

1. Cause Disturbance
2. Possession of Weapons Dangerous to the Public Peace
3. Aggravated Assault
4. Attempt Murder
5. two counts of Assault with a Weapon

He is to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West, on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, room 306.
