41 Division - Coffee with a Cop
Broadcast time: 13:36
Tuesday, October 1, 2019
The Toronto Police Service 41 Division's "Coffee with a Cop" event will take place on Wednesday, October 2, 2019.
The program started over three years ago, since then the events have been held regularly throughout the division.
The majority of contact police officers have with the public happen during emergencies or emotional situations. Those situations are not always the most effective times for relationship building with the community, and some community members may feel that officers are unapproachable on the street. Coffee with a Cop breaks down barriers and allows for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction.
Officers from 41 Division will be at McDonald’s located at 17 William Kitchen Road and sit down with community members in an informal gathering to discuss community issues, build relationships and enjoy coffee.
Coffee with a Cop provides a unique opportunity for community members to ask questions and learn more about the service’s work in their community.
