The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a man wanted in connection with a kidnapping investigation.

On Wednesday, July 10, 2019, police responded to a call for a kidnapping in the Bay Street and Gerrard Street West area.

It is reported that:

- the victim was kidnapped, assaulted and held hostage

- the victim was forced to turn over his credit card with the PIN number

- purchases were then made on the credit card

As a result of an investigation, a man was identified.

Todd Mitchell, 37, of Toronto, is wanted for:

1. Robbery
2. Assault Causing Bodily Harm
3. Assault With A Weapon
4. Extortion
5. Kidnapping
6. Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card
7. Forgery
8. Possession of Counterfeit Money
9. Possession of Property Obtained By Crime
