One man and one woman arrested in Drug and Firearm investigation

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of arrests made in a drug and firearm investigation.
On Tuesday, October 1, 2019, officers from the West Command Gun Violence Suppression Unit commenced an investigation into the trafficking of narcotics, as well as firearm related offences.
Officers were granted and executed 3 Criminal Code Search Warrants for addresses and one vehicle.
A search of a home in the Hurontario Street and Highway 403 area yielded a large quantity of Fentanyl and Heroin. Officers also located a large quantity of ammunition. Over 600 rounds of loose ammunition was separated into various calibres (22 cal, 9mm, and 40 cal). It is alleged that it was packaged in a manner that was conducive with ammunition trafficking.
Taychan Beharie, 19, of Toronto, and Kameelah Commissiong, 18 of Toronto were arrested.
They are both charged with the following:
1) POSSESS SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE FOR TRAFFICKING CDSA 5(2)
2) POSSESS SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE FOR TRAFFICKING CDSA 5(2) black
3) POSSESS SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE FOR TRAFFICKING CDSA 5(2)
4) POSSESS SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE FOR TRAFFICKING CDSA 5(2)
5) KNOWINGLY POSSESS FIREARM, DEVICE OR AMMUNITION FOR
PURPOSE OF TRANSFER OFFER CC 100 (1) (a)
On Wednesday, October 2, 2019, both accused were scheduled to appear at the Ontario Justice Court, located at 60 Queen Street West, Old City Hall, room 101.
