On Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at 10:42 p.m., police responded to a stabbing in the area of King Street West and University Avenue.

Once on scene, officer located a man with obvious trauma. He was taken to hospital by paramedics, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

He has been identified as Thomas Denney, 62, of Toronto.

A suspect was located by officers.

James Rushton, 38 and of no fixed address, was arrested.

He has been charged with:

1) Second-Degree Murder
