On Sunday, October 13, 2019, at approximately 10:48 a.m., police received a report of a collision in the Ellesmere Road and Pharmacy Avenue area.

On Tuesday, October 15, 2019, it is reported:

- the injuries to the two women are serious but not life-threatening

- the 20-month-old boy's condition has been upgraded and he is expected to recover.

Police are looking to identify a person of interest in this investigation who is believed to be the passenger of the vehicle at the time of the collision. He is described as a white, with a beard and wears glasses. He was wearing a grey sweater, black pants, and a red hat.

A warrant has been issued for Derek DeSousa, 34, of Toronto. Investigation has identified him as the driver of the motor vehicle.
