St. Clair Avenue West and Castleton Avenue

On Monday, October 28, 2019, at 10:05 a.m., police received a report of two pedestrians that were struck on St. Clair Avenue West and Castleton Avenue, in Toronto.
It is reported that:
- two pedestrians were crossing St. Clair Avenue West near Castleton Avenue, from the south to the north side of the street
- a 52-year-old man was driving a van southbound on Castleton Avenue. While making a left turn to eastbound on St. Clair Avenue West the van struck the two pedestrians
- both pedestrians were taken to hospital. An 83-year-old woman died from her injuries. The other woman, a 66-year-old, was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing by Traffic Services.
Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers - who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident - to contact investigators.
