Shooting/attempt murder investigation

Officers are appealing for information as part of a shooting investigation.

On Saturday, November 9, 2019, at approximately 9:10 p.m., Toronto Police responded to a call for a shooting in the Kingston Road and Port Union Road area.

It is reported that:

- the occupants of two cars, both described as white Sedans, fired several shots at each other

- the cars were last seen travelling northbound on Port Union Road towards Highway 401

- a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds was located by Durham Regional Police a short time later

- He was transported to a trauma centre with serious injuries

Investigators are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

Any motorists with dashcam footage, that were in the area at the time, are also urged to review the footage and contact officers with any relevant information.
