Sexual Assault Investigation,

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in an on-going sexual assault investigation.

On Wednesday, October 30, 2019, it is alleged that a woman disclosed to police that she had been sexually assaulted on multiple occasion by a man. It is further alleged that as the investigation continued, a second woman disclosed to police that she too had been sexually assaulted on multiple occasions by the same man.

On Tuesday, November 5, 2019, Leo Reid, 68, of Oshawa, was arrested.

He is charged with:

1) 12 counts of sexual assault
2) 10 counts of Sexual Exploitation
3) seven counts of Sexual Interference
4) three counts of Invitation to Sexual Touching

He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, November 22, 2019, at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, in courtroom 412, at 10 a.m. There is a publication ban in place.

Leo Reid was a volunteer with the Scouts program in Scarborough from 1995-1999.

Police believe there may be other victims and ask anyone with information to come forward.
