Man arrested in firearm investigation,
Finch Avenue West and Jayzel Drive

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest made in a firearm investigation.

On Saturday, November 16, 2019, at approximately 3:19 a.m., officers responded to a call for a person with a gun in the Finch Avenue West and Jayzel Drive area.

It is alleged that:

- a 22-year-old man was standing near a gas station

- he was approached by an unknown man who asked for a cigarette

- the unknown man displayed a gun hidden in his waistband

- he then fled the area

- officers searched the area and found the armed man

- as he was being arrested he reached for the gun in his waistband

- he struggled with officers but was brought into custody

- a loaded Para Ordinance Elite Commander .45 calibre pistol was seized from him

Feisal Noor, 26, of Toronto, is charged with:

1) Possess Loaded Firearm
2) Carry Concealed Weapon
3) Weapons Dangerous to the Public Peace
4) Possess Firearm with Altered Serial Number
5) Possess Restricted Firearm Without Holding a Licence
6) Possess Restricted Firearm Knowingly Not Holding a Licence
7) Possess Ammunition Dangerous to the Public Peace

He appeared at Old City Hall court on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at 2 p.m., in room 101.
