One girl, four boys, and one man, arrested for a Series of Robberies in and around Toronto,
Facing multiple charges

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a girl, four boys and one adult, arrested in relation to a series of violent robberies and a break & enter that occurred in and around Toronto, and one robbery that occurred in Orangeville.

It is alleged that:

- between Monday, October 28, 2019, and Monday, November 25, 2019, Toronto police were made aware of a break & enter and a series of ten retail store robberies which occurred in and around the Greater Toronto Area

- in each instance, several of the suspects entered the retail stores while attempting to disguise their identities

- one of the suspects was usually armed with a knife

- once inside the store the suspects would approached the store employee(s) and made demands for money, assaulting them by kicking and punching the employee(s)

- a quantity of currency, cigarettes, vaping products and lottery tickets would then be taken by the suspects before they fled the area on foot

On Monday, November 25, 2019 at approximately 3:00 a.m., officers were investigating a Break & Enter into a school in the area of Morrish Road and Euclid Avenue. During the investigation, six people were arrested.

Ronald Irakoze, 18, of Toronto has been charged with:

1) Six counts of Robbery
2) Five counts of Robbery with Offensive Weapon
3) Five counts of Possession of a Weapon
4) Eight counts of Disguise with Intent
5) Ten counts of Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
6) Two counts of Possession Property Obtained by Crime )
7) Two counts of Possess/use Credit Card Obtained by Offence

He is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East Court, Room 412


A young person,17, of Toronto has been charged with:

1) Six counts of Robbery
2) Five counts of Robbery with Offensive Weapon
3) Eight counts of Disguise with Intent
4) Break & Enter Commit
5) Eleven counts of Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence

He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 9:30 a.m., at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East Court, Room 408.


Another young person, 17, of Toronto has been charged with:

1) Four counts of Robbery
2) Five counts of Robbery with Offensive Weapon
3) Six counts of Disguise with intent
4) Eight counts of Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
5) Break & Enter Commit
6) Two counts of Possession Property Obtained by Crime
7) Two counts of Possess/use Credit Card Obtained by Offence
8) Twenty four counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance

He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 9:30 a.m., at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East Court, Room 408


Another young person, 17, of Toronto has been charged with:

1) Two counts of Robbery
2) Robbery with Offensive Weapon
3) Three counts of Disguise with Intent
4) Three counts of Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
5) Break & Enter Commit
6) Thirty six counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance

He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 9:30am at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East Court, Room 408.


Another young person, 17, has been charged with:

1) Four counts of Robbery with Offensive Weapon
2) Possession of Weapon
3) Carry Concealed Weapon
4) Two counts of Disguise with Intent
5) Three counts of Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
6) Break & Enter Commit

He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 9:30 a.m., at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East Court, Room 408.


A young person, 13, has been charged with:

1) Break & Enter Commit

She was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 9:30 a.m., at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East Court, Room 408.


Hold Up officers have identified another involved suspect, a warrant has been issued for a 14-year-old young person.
