On Thursday, November 28th, 2019 at 6:23 a.m., police received a report of a serious collision at Islington Avenue and Aviemore Drive, in Toronto.
It is reported that:
• an unidentified person was driving a motor vehicle northbound on Islington Avenue at Aviemore Drive
• at this time, a 77-year-old female pedestrian was crossing Islington Avenue, from the east to west curb, when she was struck and killed
• the driver continued northbound on Islington Avenue
• the driver and vehicle failed to remain at the scene
The investigation is ongoing by members of Traffic Services.
Investigators have received video that has identified a vehicle of interest in this matter and are asking the public and local residents to take a moment to view the attached still image and video.

The vehicle of interest is described as a dark-coloured SUV with bright head lights and fog lights. It may also have front end damage, particularly to a headlamp.
Additionally, police are asking local residents, business, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
