Fail to remain fatal collision #1/2020,

On Saturday, January 4, 2020, at approximately 10:10 p.m., police received a report of a collision on Jarvis Street, between Gerrard Street East and Dundas Street East, in Toronto.
It is reported that:
- a 65-year-old man was walking across Jarvis Street, from west to east.
- at that time, the driver of a vehicle struck the victim in the northbound lanes of Jarvis Street and fled the scene.
The victim was taken to hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.
A description of the suspect vehicle is not being released at this time while investigators continue to canvass local businesses and residents for video surveillance, and identify further eye witnesses.
Traffic Services investigators will continue to canvass throughout the morning.
Officers are urging local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact them.
