Appeal to identify suspect in carjacking investigation,

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance identifying a suspect as part of a carjacking investigation.

It is alleged:

- on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at approximately 2:30 a.m, a pizza delivery man was called to the area of Rutherford Avenue and Weston Road

- he was robbed at gunpoint by a man and woman who stole his car


The female suspect is described as black, 18-25 years, with a black ponytail, and believed to have a tattoo on her outer left wrist.

Images have been released.

Anyone who recognizes the woman, or has any information about her, is urged to contact police.


Anthony Powell, 19, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Fail to Comply with Recognizance
2) Robbery with a Firearm
3) Uttering Threats
4) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.00


He was scheduled to appear at Toronto West Court, on Monday, September 23, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., room 202.
