The Toronto Police is appealing for information after a dog was abandoned in a suitcase.

On Saturday, January 4, 2020, at approximately 12 p.m., police were called to an animal complaint near 4100 Dundas Street West by Dundas Street bridge.

It is reported:

- members of the public discovered a black fabric suitcase near to the path of the Humber River Trail

- the suitcase was zipped shut and inside was a female Jack Russell-mix dog

- the dog, which was alive, had no collar or ID tag

- it was taken to the vets to be checked over before going to a shelter


An image of the dog has been released in the hope that someone recognizes her or has information about the incident.
