Police Seek Assistance with Stabbing Investigation,
Leitch Avenue and Assiniboine Road area

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance with a stabbing investigation.

On Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at 10:09 p.m., police were called to the Leitch Avenue and Assiniboine Road area for a stabbing.

It is reported that:

- a 23-year-old woman was walking on a pathway on York University campus

- a man assaulted her, knocking her to the ground and dragging her a short distance

- she received wounds to her body

- she was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition

The unknown man is described as Asian, early to mid 20s, 5'9" to 5'11", 170-190 lbs., with black hair and wearing "stylish" glasses and a black puffy jacket.

The Toronto Police Service is asking for assistance in locating witnesses and in identifying the suspect in this offence.
