The Toronto Police Service requests the public’s assistance identifying a man as part of a food tampering investigation.
On Sunday, January 26, 2020, at approximately 1:55 p.m., officers responded to a call for a suspicious incident in the Runnymede Road and Annette Street area.
It is reported that:
- a man entered the Little Bee Mart convenience store
- he placed an unknown substance inside a ketchup bottle and bottles of Coca Cola
- he placed the items back on the shelf for sale
He is described as medium build. He was last seen wearing faded blue jeans, a blue vest with a hood, green shirt, blue baseball hat, and blue shoes.
The products were seized by officers to be tested. However, residents in the area should use caution if they purchase food items with broken safety seals.
An image of the man has been released.
