The media are being invited to a graduation ceremony for 119 new police constables on Friday, January 31, 2020, at noon, at the Fort York Armoury, located at 660 Fleet St.

Chief Mark Saunders will be joined by Toronto Police Services Board Chair Jim Hart in welcoming the newest officers to the Toronto Police Service.

The graduating class is representative of Toronto's diverse cultural community and brings a superior level of varied knowledge and abilities to the Service, including language skills, previous military or policing experience and post-secondary education.

A total of 88% of the class successfully completed post-secondary education and 33% speak another language other than English.

Please note this event is not open to the public as space is limited, however media are invited to attend.
